Oasis Sailing is run by two people, not a marketing department. This page says plainly what we collect, who else sees it, and how to get it changed or deleted. If anything here is unclear, write to info@oasisailing.com and a person will answer.
1. Who we are
Charters are contracted and invoiced through one of two Greek companies, depending on the yacht:

Those are the registered offices. Both companies operate from D-Marine Lefkas Marina, Lefkada 31100, Greece, which is where you will meet us. Either company is the data controller for the charter it handles, and both can be reached at info@oasisailing.com or +30 694 559 8636.
2. What we collect
When you enquire. Your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the dates and group size you are asking about, and whatever you write in the message. This comes to us through the form on this site, which posts to our own server — it does not pass through a third-party form service.
When you subscribe or download the guide. Your email address, and your first name if you give it.
When you book. Everything above, plus the details a charter legally requires: the names of everyone sailing, and passport or ID details for the crew list the port authorities ask for. If a skipper or hostess is included, we hold their details too.
When you simply browse. Your IP address, which browser and device you are using, which pages you looked at and roughly where in the world you are. This part is covered by the cookie section below and, in Europe, only happens if you agree to it.
We never ask for payment card numbers, by email or otherwise. Charters are paid by bank transfer.
3. Cookies and the choice you are given
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked before anything non-essential is set. Until you choose, no analytics or advertising cookies are placed and no advertising data leaves the site.

You can change your mind at any time from the cookie settings on this site, and you can clear the cookies through your browser whenever you like. Your choice is remembered for six months, after which we ask again.
If you decline, Google still receives a basic, cookie-free signal that a page was viewed, with no identifier attached to you. Nothing is sent to Meta at all.
Outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are set by default, as local law allows. You can still clear them in your browser.
4. Who else sees your data
We keep this list short deliberately. Everyone who receives your data in the ordinary course of a charter is named here:
- Google (Google Ireland Limited) — Google Analytics, for understanding how the site is used. Analytics traffic is routed through our own server at s1.oasisailing.com rather than directly to Google.
- Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) — advertising measurement, so we can tell which ads produce real enquiries. Only with your consent.
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — the servers this website, your enquiry and our booking records sit on.
- Amazon Web Services (Ireland) — delivers our emails. We run our own mailing system on top of it.
- Google Workspace — our info@oasisailing.com mailbox, where your correspondence with us lives.
- Port and marina authorities — the crew list, where the law requires it.
- Insurers — only if there is an incident and only what the claim requires.
- A partner charter company — if the yacht you book is theirs rather than ours, they receive what they need to run your charter. We tell you when this applies.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
5. Where your data goes
Our own systems — the website, your enquiry, our booking records and our email — are hosted in Germany and Ireland, inside the EEA.
Google and Meta are different. Both are Irish companies, but both may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States, under the standard contractual clauses and transfer frameworks the European Commission recognises. This applies only to the analytics and advertising data described above, and in Europe only if you agreed to it.
6. How long we keep it
- Booking and invoicing records — seven years, because Greek tax and tourism law requires it.
- Enquiries that never became bookings — three years, after which they are deleted automatically. Charter plans often come back around a season or two later, and until then it helps us to remember the conversation.
- Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the bottom of any email we send.
- Analytics data — fourteen months.
- Your cookie choice — six months.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict what we do with it, hand it over in a portable form, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Where we rely on your consent — marketing emails, analytics, advertising — you can withdraw it at any time, and doing so does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
Write to info@oasisailing.com. We will answer within one month. There is no charge.
Some things we cannot delete on request: once a charter has happened, the contract, the invoice and the crew list have to be kept for the seven years named above.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr), or to the supervisory authority in your own country.
8. Children
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 without a parent’s consent. Children sail with us often, but the booking is always made by an adult, and a child’s details reach us only through that adult.
9. Changes to this policy
If what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too. Material changes to how we use data you have already given us will be told to you directly rather than left here to be discovered.
