HOW TO USE THESE ROUTES

Sample Routes You Can Actually Sail

These itineraries are examples to help you picture your week in the Ionian. The final route always depends on your pace, the weather, and what you want most — quiet bays, lively harbours, or a mix of both. We’ll fine‑tune everything once we know your dates and crew.

ITINERARIES

Choose Your Route From Lefkada

Pick a direction — north for Paxos and Parga, or south for the classic Ionian islands and longer adventures.

North Route

Sail toward Paxos, Antipaxos and the mainland coast at Parga — with the option to extend to Corfu. Great for shorter hops and an easy rhythm.

South Route

Explore Meganisi, Kalamos and Kastos, with the option to go further to Ithaca and Kefalonia. Zakynthos is possible on longer trips.

SOUTH CLASSIC

Lefkada, Meganisi, Ithaca, Kastos, and Kalamos

The South Classic route is a balanced week of island‑hopping with a mix of easy sailing legs, quiet bays, and a bigger‑island highlight. Start from Lefkas Marina, enjoy the relaxed swim stops around Meganisi, soak up the charm of Ithaca, then slow down with peaceful nights in Kastos and Kalamos before returning to Lefkada.

SOUTH EXTENDED

Lefkada, Ithaca, Kefalonia, Zakynthos and Kalamos

The South Extended route is for crews who want more miles and bigger Ionian highlights. From Lefkas Marina you head deeper south to Ithaca and Kefalonia, with Zakynthos included on longer, more ambitious trips. It’s a more adventurous week with longer sailing legs — then you slow the pace again around Kalamos before returning to Lefkada.

NORTH ROUTE

PRACTICAL TIPS

A Few Things That Make the Week Easier

Ionian itineraries are flexible. We usually plan shorter legs with time for swim stops, then adjust the route around the weather and your crew’s pace. If you’re sailing bareboat, we’re always available during the week with local tips — where to anchor, where to moor, and great places to eat.

Plan for Short Hops

Most days can be kept comfortable, with time to swim and explore.

Stay Flexible

Weather and mood matter — the best route is the one that feels relaxed.

Mix Harbours + Anchorages

Balance lively evenings ashore with quiet nights in a bay.

Provision Smart

Start with the basics, then top up along the way in island towns.

Arrive Early for Easy Mooring

Getting in earlier keeps evenings calmer and options wider.

Ask Us Anytime

We’ll suggest the best stop for the day — bays, beaches, tavernas, and safe overnight spots.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we follow these itineraries exactly?

Not necessarily. These are sample routes — we tailor the final itinerary to your pace, preferences, and the weather.

Where do the itineraries start?

Most weeks start from Lefkas Marina, which is a great base for both north and south routes.

Which route is best for a relaxed week?

Usually the South Classic or the North route without Corfu, because they keep sailing legs comfortable and flexible.

Can we include both north and south in one week?

Sometimes, but it usually feels rushed. We typically recommend choosing one direction for a smoother week.

Is Zakynthos possible on a 7‑day charter?

It can be, but it’s more ambitious due to distance. Zakynthos is best on longer trips or for crews happy with longer sailing legs.

Can you help us choose the best route?

Yes. Tell us your dates, group size, and priorities (swim bays, villages, quiet nights, longer sailing), and we’ll recommend the best itinerary.
